Operating procedures for sand dryer boiling furnace

Release Date: 24-12-2024

Below, the editor of the three tube quartz sand dryer will introduce the operating procedures for the boiling furnace of the sand dryer.

1. Oven drying: After the new furnace body is built, carefully remove the debris inside the furnace, check if the vent holes of the air cap are blocked, then start the blower and run it without load for half an hour. After confirming that there are no errors, lay 200-300mm thick coarse sand on the air distribution plate, and then start the blower to observe the boiling of the sand. If the sand layers are clear and there are no flow grooves, it proves that the design requirements have been met.

Dry wood and coal are used to slowly bake the oven, depending on whether the furnace body stops sweating or steaming. Generally, the baking time should not be less than 72 hours.

2. Ignition: After the baking is completed, use a fire hook to discharge the ash and slag in the furnace, add coal to the furnace, and add 8-10% of the weight of the sand. Turn on the blower to blow the sand and coal evenly, forming the bottom material.

Lay a layer of firewood on the base material, ignite it, burn it vigorously, and form a thick layer of wood charcoal. Hook out the unburned firewood, use the fire hook to flatten it, immediately start the blower, slightly open the blower control valve, and you can see that the surface of the charcoal layer is slightly jumping, a layer of blue flame appears, gradually increasing the wind, and the material layer is stirred, presenting a dark red flame wave. Gently stir the material layer with a fire hook and check for any lumps. If any lumps are found, remove them immediately. Close the fire door, continue to increase the air volume to make the entire furnace bed boil, quickly start the disc feeder to feed coal into the furnace, observe that the flame turns cash yellow, and then switch to normal operation.

3. Normal operation: During normal production, the furnace temperature should be controlled at 900-1000 ℃, and the flame should be cash yellow. If the flame appears light white, it indicates that the furnace temperature is too high and coal should be reduced appropriately; If the flame is partially white and glaring, it indicates that the furnace temperature is too high. Coal feeding should be stopped, the air volume should be increased, and cold slag should be replenished; If the furnace appears dark red, it indicates that the furnace temperature is too low and coal should be added.

4. Shutdown and fire suppression: When shutting down, stop feeding coal and check for coke blocks with a fire hook. If there are coke blocks, they should be discharged in a timely manner, and the drum and induced draft fan should be turned off. Close the overflow small door. The general pressing time is 24 hours, and the longest pressing time can be 48 hours.

5. Restarting and catching fire: When restarting, add coal appropriately depending on the specific situation. First, slowly raise the fire with low air, and when the bottom material shows a dark red flame wave, quickly add air, coal, and switch to normal production.

Safety regulations (warning)

1. When turning on the blower, the furnace door must be closed, and the operator should deviate from the furnace door to avoid flame burns.

2. The blower must be started with the door closed, and the operator should deviate from the furnace door to avoid flame burns. After starting, slowly open the air door to the required air volume, and it is strictly prohibited to start the drum machine with overload.

3. When burning coal, if the inlet temperature of the sand dryer is below 600 ℃, a gas explosion-proof device must be installed.
